Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong was born on the 8th of February, 1984. She is an American actress and comedian. Strong is known best for her work as a Saturday Night Live cast member from 2012 to 2022. Strong has the longest tenure of a female actor in the show's history. Strong was performing Improv in The Second City, Chicago after she completed her studies at CalArts. She was later employed by SNL. She is the present host of the Apple TV+ musical comedy program Schmigadoon! She is also co-producing the show (2021-2024).
Other roles she's been in include voice work in The Awesomes (2013-2015), and in supporting roles in films like Ghostbusters, The Meddler and The Female Brain. In 2015, she hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner. In 2021, her debut book The Memoir This Will All be Over Soon Soon, was released.
For her work on Saturday Night Live, she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Comedy Series at the 72nd and 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.
Childhood and early life
Strong was born in Springfield Illinois and was raised in Oak Park (an inner-ring suburb of Chicago). She is the daughter Penelope and William Strong. Strong was the chief of the Associated Press bureau and also had his own company for PR until 2013. Penny Legler Strong is a nurse practitioner, and has been employed in a variety of hospitals throughout the region. Strong's parents divorced. Strong was fascinated by SNL from an early age. She loved watching her friends re-enact sketches and watching old SNL commercials via VHS. "I had an old tape with the best commercials, and I wore it all day long." She claimed that Phil Hartman was her idol.
